For schoolyear 2006-2007, my son Gelo's fieldtrip is in Ocean Adventure in Camayan Wharf, West Ilanin Forest Area, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales, Philippines. Ocean Adventure is Southeast Asia's only open-water marine park where the animals live and play in the natural setting of marine life.
Gelo is very excited as this is the first time he will be seeing live whales, dolphins, sea lions, etc. Ailene and I were equally excited by just merely looking at the sight of an energetic young boy in Gelo, who is raring to set foot at the marine park.
The almost 5 hours trip from Batangas to Subic is very tiring, but the long travel is worth it. We enjoyed the whale shark and dolphin show as well as that of the sea lion. By the way, part of the itenerary is a shopping spree at Duty Free Subic. It was a very long day as we arrived Batangas around midnight.

Leo's Leisure Park
Haven't been here yet, but according to my wife, the place is great. They had a company planning activity way back October of 2005.
Amenities and activities include swimming pool, huts, fishing village, outdoor recreational facilities (basketball, volleyball, softball, obstacle course, tug of war, and mini zoo), boating, fishing, etc.
They have good rooms and food with affordable rates. Take my wife's advise - visit this place!

Museo Pambata and Enchanted Kingdom (Philippines)
Ailene and I joined Gelo in his field trip last September 2005. We went to several nice places, but Museo Pambata in Roxas Boulverd, Metro Manila and Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna are the notable ones.
The kids loved Museo Pambata. It's a place of hands-on discovery and role-playing. Indeed, the kids had a great time while learning.

Our last stop is Enchanted Kingdom. Gelo is very excited but I believe I am more excited than him, thinking that we have a ride-all-you-can package. Though it was very tiring, we had a great, great time. It's really a place for the young and old alike.
