Kabayan Beach Resort Version 2.0

Kabayan, here we are again! Told you it's worth revisiting.

Last time, my brother wasn't around because he's working in Qatar. Since he's here in the Philipppines for two-weeks break, might as well spend some quality time with him in the beach - of course, his treat. :)

Nothing's new, except that the waves are a little wild because there is a storm way north. Well, there's no reason not to get fun... Me and my kids spent most of our time in the pool.

Oh, by the way, we are a big group this time. Together with us is Tata, 'To Qits and 'Ta Nor, 'Ta Mely, 'Ta Norma, 'To Bino, Ate Susan, Jopet, and Geejei. We rented two adjacent rooms - Bahay Rosal and Casa Blanca.

We brought in a lot of food to cook. Mom prepared great meals for dinner as we surprised my brother who is celebrating his birthday on the 22nd of October. We celebrated in advance because he'll be leaving for Qatar again in two-weeks time.

The whole trip was as equally enjoying as our first trip to Kabayan.

My personal rating: 7 out of 10.

Can there be a 3rd visit? Well, let us see...

Kabayan Beach Resort

Eat, Sleep, Swim, and Play - the best way to spend a day.

We decided to spend a weekend on a beach resort to celebrate my youngest's 2nd birthday. We went to a place called Kabayan Beach Resort in Bgy. Laiya Aplaya, San Juan, Batangas, Philippines. The place was referred to me by my colleagues Cocoy and PJ. It's around 1 to 2 kilometers nearer than Blue Choral Beach Resort.

'Twas indeed relaxing to have fun under the sun. Me and my family spent the whole day in the beach, then let the hours fly by at night in the pool.

The place is nice and the ambience is very cozy at night. Plus, rates are good without compromising quality of overall stay. We spent Php 7,200 on room named Rosal- this, with a 10% discount for non-peak season. The room has a maximum capacity of 12 and a sleeping capacity of 9. But of course, you can request for extra matresses. What's nice about this resort is that you can bring in food to cook. The room is equipped with refrigerator, water dispenser to include 5 gallons of distilled water, cable TV, cooking and dining utensils. It's a great fit if you're budget conscious. :)

JVC Beach Resort

Swimming on a month of June? It's never too late for an outing. What the heck, it's not raining anyway.

My brother is leaving for this new job in Qatar and it has been a long while since we had an outing with him. He used to work in Saudi Arabia and it's very unfortunate that his yearly vacation doesn't fall on a summer.

So, because we were blessed with good weather, without planning much, we pack our things, brought some food, and find a beach not far from our home. We chance upon JVC Beach Resort in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. The place is small and there are no great facilities and amenities, but it's clean and quite anyway. Quite??? Maybe because we almost have the resort by ourselves. Hahaha. Remember, it's already June...

It didn't cost as much. We just paid for the entrance and rented a couple of tables for a few hundreds. It's really very cheap but minus the amenities of class A resorts. It's around 45 minutes drive from Batangas City.

My personal rating: 4 out of 10.

Blue Coral Beach Resort

We had our company's summer day tour outing for 2007 at Blue Coral Beach Resort in Laiya, San Juan, Batangas, Philippines.

Overall, the place is nice - the rooms, pool, food, as well as the beach.
You can either relish the crystal sea water, relax in their pool, or enjoy watching girls clad in two-piece bikinis. About the latter, Ailene, peace!

Though, it's a great day for swimming, I am i no mood. I just spent the whole day drinking with colleagues, and singing in the videoke. I did not do much but I enjoyed seeing our group enjoy a day of time-out from work.

White Rock Beach and Resort

We went to White Rock Beach and Resort in Bo. Matain, Subic, Zambales, Philippines for a two day workshop on a project we are working with a government agency. White Rock Resort-Hotel is a premiere Philippines beach resort with a 5.7-hectare property nestled along serene Subic Bay, just 2-hours leisurely and scenic drive from Manila. An ideal vacation haven, it boasts of complete resort amenities and ideal for water sports with a peaceful ambiance. It is bounded by beautiful mountains that also makes the bay practically Tsunami-free.

We practically spent our two-day stay with project presentations and workshops, leaving us with only a night to enjoy the facilities of the resort. The beach is great, likewise the pool. However, I never had time to swim and soak as I was busy entertaining our government agency guests. That night after dinner, we had a drinking spree over a videoke and pika-pika by the pool side, arranged exclusively for our group by the resort.

I enjoyed... We enjoyed... Everyone enjoyed the night as they take turns signing their favorite tune. We called it a day around 3 AM in the morning.

One thing unfortunate is that I forgot to bring my camera. I promised to get back though, so I can capture on still photos the beauty that is White Rock.

Verde Island Beach Resort

Our company outing for 2005 was in Verde Island Beach Resort located at Sitio Subukin, San Antonio, Isla Verde, Batangas, Philippines. It’s a two-hour drive from Manila and an approximate one-hour boat ride from Batangas City.

Verde Island is not just a place for leisure. It is also ideal for meetings, functions, trainings, seminars, team building activities, etc.

On top of it all, Verde Island Resort gives you a full panoramic view of Mindoro Island and a spectacular sunset. It is located off the southern shores of Batangas and north of Oriental Mindoro. It has a diverse marine life which abounds in the cool pristine waters which makes it the center of the world’s bio diversity.

We all had fun. It’s a day full of games and food is abundant. Experience life in its simplest form by just waddling along the beach and pool, or simply basking in the sun for a touch of tan. Plus, we appreciate the warm and friendly service which makes us really feel at home.

Vistamar Beach Resort

A family summer outing way back 2005 when Ailene was still pregnant with my youngest, Gio.

With the scorching heat of the sun, not to mention it's my BIRTHDAY, we decided to spend a day at Vistamar Beach Resort in Mabini, Batangas, Philippines. Facility is not that good, likewise, the sand and water. They claim they have good dive spots, but I haven't tried it yet. Well, I'm not a diver anyhow. Hehehe.

If your idea is spending quality time with your family and just having fun under the sun, then Vistamar could be a fit.

Rates are cheap but don't expect too much though. Around 45 minutes drive from Batangas City.
